Praying faithfully for:

Millard Harrison - In Baylor All Saints hospital in Ft. Worth with a tumor that doctors have just discovered is small cell cancer, which they said is treatable and usually pretty responsive to radiation.  So, they've already begun radiation treatments, started blood thinners and were working on getting him ready for a porta-cath to start administering chemotherapy but the surgeon backed out, saying that the tumor was too large and in his path.  So, they were regrouping and most likely going to go with a piq line. Prayers, please, for total body healing and strength, comfort and hope for him and for his family as they battle this with him.  Prayers for clarity in the choices and decisions he and his doctors make for his treatment.

Elizabeth-  Elizabeth is home!  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/elizabethchampion
Terry Vanlandingham-  He had an infection in his brain and has been in and out of getting his health back.  He is not doing well and needs us of all praying for his recovery and healing.

Leah  Diagnosed with Peripheral T-Cell Non-hodgkins Lympphoma.   A very rare form of non-hodgkins lymphoma.   She was diagnosed in December, 2010 started chemo in Jan. 2011.  She just under went a stem cell transplant of her own stem cells.  She now is going to have to undergo a transplant from a donor.  She needs LOTS of prayers for healing.  Also prayers for her family as they battle this with her.  You can see their blog at www.cancerbattle.wordpress.com

Larry Parker Sr- Please keep him in your prayers

Christine Thomas- suffered a severe heart attack yesterday and was found unconscious. They were able to revive her but she is in critical conditionheart transplant listliver transplant at the same time so they need a donor for both organs.  (Her liver is shot from all of the medications for her heart – if they replace one without the other it will ruin the new organ or over-tax the older organ.).  Please pray for Chris tines recovery, her doctors' wisdom in different treatment options and for her family's peace through all of this. She is doing MUCH better but still in CCU at Baylor and may be there indefinitely. Until a donor is found for both organs she will be on constant intravenous ((IV drip)) medications. She was not alert for the first 6 days after going into cardiac arrest. Praise Jesus just when things were really looking bleak, she woke up! The doctors and nursing staff were amazed!! We know what the power of prayer can do…the family is so thankful for all of your prayers!! Please continue to pray for Chris and pray that a donor is found.

Barry Ward- prayers for his pain to stop and that his surgery was a success. Surgery was the most difficult the doctor had performed because Barry has lost down to 113 lbs. He has scoliosis and other problems that have made it necessary to put in a pain pump. Pray for the doctors while they try to get the right pain "cocktail" so Barry can have a more fulfilling life.

Jane Ellen is a wonderful Christian and has been her entire life and knows that the Lord is carrying her through all this. She also has an entire village of friends and family that love her deeply. Thank you each and every one that will lift up Jane Ellen and her children. It is a very worrisome time for all who love them but we know when it gets too heavy for us, it's just right for God. Blessings to you all.

Chris Burnett
- 42 years old and on dialysis since June 09' as a result of diabetic complications. Prayers for God's infinite strength in healing while he waits for a kidney donor. And for the physician's discernment when the k-day arrives.  Chris and his Mom went to Portland in early October for his transplant evaluation.  It was exhausting for both of them.  He was approved for the National Registry as soon as he gets Hep A vaccinations.  The surgery will be performed at the Oregon Health and Science Center.  This facility did their 4138th kidney transplant this month.  There is a 2 year wait list for transplants.  As far as Chris’s current status, his Mom says he is holding his own.   On Jan. 21st Chris went in to the ER unconscious and was placed on a ventilator. Neurologist was not optimistic as he was not responding to anything.  An exciting turn of events occurred on Monday.  Chris squeezed his mother's hand as they began to take him off of sedation. On Monday they placed a trach and on Tuesday they began to try to ween him off of the ventilator.  His full neuro status is not yet known. Please continue prayers for this young man and for his family.Chris was moved to the Tx Specialty Hospital on Harry Hines on Jan. 30th. He still has the trach and feeding tube, and is on IV antibiotics for pneumonia. There has been very little change in his awareness. Please pray for swallow reflex test to be positive this week so they can remove both trach and feeding tube. PT, OT and ST will be evaluating for a treatment plan. His mother is going to the VA today to discuss a long term plan. She says this is really the devastating part. Please pray for her strength.

Kelcy Orr- 3 year old little girl from Arlington, diagnosed with kidney cancer. They tried to do surgery, but the tumor is too wrapped around the kidneys. So they are trying a few weeks of chemo, then they can remove one kidney, and hopefully go back for more chemo to try and save the other kidney. The picture of Kelcy winking is from a day of capturing pictures of her beautiful hair before it is lost from her chemo treatment. Anyone who has had to cut those first, soft, baby curls knows how painful it can be to see them go. But loosing them in clumps to the big bad C at such the tender age is even more heartbreaking. Sunday was the 5K for Kelcy. Friends and family raised over $17,000 to be used on Kelcy's medical expenses. Kelcy was there and looked tired and pretty weak. Please continue to pray for her strength through these chemo treatments so that she will be strong enough for surgery to try and remove the tumor in a few months. Surgery went well and they were able to remove the whole kidney, the tumor, and all the cells around it that were bad. Since then she has been doing chemo and radiation. She is hanging in there, and her mom is amazingly tough. The doctors say that she will have a good outcome.  She is doing amazing! Her chemo ended the first week of September and she is bouncing back well.. still very tiny and way underweight, but they are working on it and getting her back where she needs to be. Her immune system is still weak but with meds and a few modifications she’s been able to go to preschool 2 days a week since chemo ended and is really excited about that. Her last scans were clear so right now they just work on keeping her healthy and saying our prayers that it all stays that way! For her fourth birthday party, which was sponsored by the Make a Wish foundation, they took her to a spa in a limo, then to a tea party at Chelsea’s tea room, so sweet.. she is still just as sweet and happy as ever

Johnny Todd- A tumor was found on his kidney. They think they have caught it early enough and want to do surgery but they can't get his blood pressure regulated. The surgery will be postponed until they get his blood pressure under control. Prayers for the Drs treating him, blood pressures issues are resolved, and that the tumor or his kidney can be removed with little or no after effects.

Mikey Stinnett- undergone many tests to see what is wrong with him- Dr.s are suspecting Hepatitis C, Liver Cancer, or Pancreatic Cancer. Prayers for good results for Mikey.

Laura Beth- 23 years old and recently diagnosed with colon cancer. She had surgery this week, and is home now recovering from surgery. She will now face chemo and radiation in the months ahead. Her family says she is a fighter and will conquer this, but need all the prayers they can get. (she's the one on the left)

Dewy Floyd- Bone Cancer- Told in August 2009 2-3 more years of life left. Prayers for total body healing, strength while he continues chemo and peace for him and his family..

Bobbie Ussery- cancer has returned as lung cancer will be starting treatment soon. MRI and petscan came back and there were 2 more spots. One on her liver and on her bone in her leg- further testing on these spots to see if they are cancer. Chemo and radiation starts this Thursday and will continue every 2-3 weeks for 3 months. Continued prayers for strength, peace, hope, and healing.

Emily Obenhaus- 15 years old discovered she had cancer from a very simple mole removal. Additional cancer has been found on her lower back. She has finished her treatments at MD Anderson and is very tired and somewhat sick. Now she goes 3 times a week here in Dallas for these treatments that will last 12 months. She will return to MD Anderson for monthly CAT scans- she is JUST getting started. Emily went back to school a week ago, she is tired but doing OK. Her mom is giving her interferon shots once a week and will continue to go back to MD Anderson once a month for scans etc. Emily is continuing to have her scans once a month at MD Anderson and they continue to find moles with the cancer. As of right not there is no cancer in her organs. Keep praying for a full recovery and the cancer to not spread.

On going prayers for Grayson,
